Vulo

"She was peasant, barefoot, her garment little more than coarse sacking. She had been carrying a wicker basket con- taining vulos, domesticated pigeons raised for eggs and meat."

~Nomads of Gor~

The VULO is a tawny-colored poultry bird, similar to the pigeons of earth.

When domesticated, they are kept in coops such as this and are raised for their meat and eggs.

Vulos also exist in the wild and are often hunted as game, or to be eaten.

IN ROLEPLAY

Their meat is like chicken and generally served roasted and spiced, or baked in spice leaves. In Nomads of Gor, Cabot is served a mouth-watering plate of spiced vulo brain. Mmm.

The eggs from the vulo can be used in all recipes that require eggs, such as cakes and pastries. You can also fry and boil them for breakfast, scramble them or make an omlette.

But note that they are actually closer to quail eggs than chicken eggs, as they are quite small. A common serving would be about five eggs or so.
